Virtual Assistant - ABOUT US

My name is Wendy Smoke Anderson and I'm the founder of Innovative Virtual Assistance.  Prior to starting this business, I worked for some of the most inspiring and award-winning advertising agencies in Central Florida. I also spent several years as an employee at two well-respected national post-production companies and nearly a decade with Planet Hollywood’s corporate in-house agency. These work experiences allowed me the opportunity to explore and master many diverse disciplines including:  production and project management, art buying and procurement, vendor sourcing and negotiating, public relations, media relations, event planning and implementation, broadcast production, photography coordination, talent booking, Web site content management and development, copywriting, information research, database and file management, general administration and more.

Throughout my career I encountered many wonderful people, witnessed acts of genius, performed "impossible" feats and learned truly amazing things.  I also saw first-hand the volatile and ever-changing nature of business, advertising and the economy.

For many reasons, I decided the timing was right to start my own Virtual Assistant company.  I knew that I had the ability to offer specialized services to businesses on a project-basis.  My idea was to provide clients with a wide-range of quality work, and also save them time and money.  By working with my company, clients have a reliable partner that gets the job done efficiently, without the added fees associated with hiring a full-time employee. Thus, my idea for Innovative Virtual Assistance came to life.

In addition to being a business owner, I’m proud to be a wife and mother. I also enjoy all forms of art and reaching out to the community. Over the years I’ve had the privilege to provide assistance in various ways for The Orlando Ballet, The Fairy Godmother Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Give Kids the World, The Coalition for the Homeless and several other local and national charitable organizations.
    
I've completed specialized coursework in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Front Page and general search engine & Web site optimization.  Additionally, I hold advanced computer training certifications for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  I also taught the "How to Become a Virtual Assistant" course at The Knowledge Shop in Central FL.
